INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY
Through an interactive approach, I will help you explore and understand the ways you function, guide you as you develop skills to adapt to challenges & help you better navigate relationships and boundaries. I will work with you to identify and appreciate the resources you have, as well as find new perspectives, new solutions & more balance in your life.
Common issues can include:
PARENT-CHILD PSYCHOTHERAPY
As a parent, raising a child who struggles with emotional or behavioral challenges can be exhausting and isolating. Before children can learn to self-regulate, they need help learning how to regulate through connection. A parent's active engagement plays a critical role in a child's therapy. While the level of parental involvement depends on each family's situation, it is my experience that a developmental psychotherapy approach that supports the child, parent, and the parent-child relationship leads to the most effective changes.
Children need help learning to manage feelings and perceptions as they navigate through their experiences. I’ll help to guide your understanding of yourself and your child’s needs and increase your effectiveness in supporting your child’s emotions and behavior.
I will help your child increase their ability to identify and express feelings, thoughts, and attitudes about themselves and others and make sense of their experiences. As you create stability & balance, and your child assumes greater responsibility and trust of self, you’ll all experience more positive interactions and begin to find connection and enjoyment again.
It is never too late to get support for your family; common issues can include:
PARENT GUIDANCE
Traditional behavioral approaches often fail children who struggle with emotional and behavioral regulation challenges, leaving parents feeling helpless and exhausted. Education and therapeutic support can help guide you as you support your child's mental health and your family's overall well-being.
Guidance can help you increase awareness, intentionality, and confidence to create the change you seek. I’ll guide you as you increase your understanding of how you function, identify and access your strengths, develop strategies to meet needs, and navigate challenges. Become less reactive and increase your parenting skills to respond with consistency, set and maintain appropriate boundaries and limits, and reduce power struggles and behavioral challenges. Parenting is hard, and it's not about being right, it's about being connected; learn how to connect and reconnect in ways that feel good to both you and your child.
Shifting to a therapeutic parenting approach uses your relationship and interactions with your child to create healing and change. I will help you reframe your child's challenges so you can identify and understand your child's needs. As we work together, increase your confidence in supporting your child. With strategies and effective non-punitive approaches, you can help bring stability, connection, and joy into your home.
